"A jump into the water or what is more secure?"

Adjust your flash arms so that they do not knock against each other. As a general rule, if possible you should try and have someone hand the device to you once you are in the water. If this is not an option, lower your device attached to a strong rope and secured with a carabiner into the water and don´t forget to bring it back on board after your dive. If the only option is to jump then hold your camera very tight to your body and jump so your back is the first to hit the water. Before you hand back your equipment make sure to secure the flash arms and fasten the port protection cap. Just before you descend make sure your front port is secured and have a look inside. Make sure that when you are handed your equipment by a guide that your device is properly and carefully handled.
