Imran Ahmad has been active as a professional photographer for over 20 years, capturing the beauty of life above and below the surface. As a schooled filmmaker, he is known for the one or the other daring experiments with techniques, especially in underwater photography. With success – because his pictures are repeatedly awarded and shown internationally.
Imran loves to experiment with photography – especially with light and movement. The drama and the creative play with the motif. For him, understanding how to work with light and contrast is the true secret of underwater photography and he is always trying new techniques and also likes to develop and teach them himself.
Imran Ahmad was born in Singapore and now lives with his family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When he’s not working as a professional photographer or lecturer at the university, he hosts presentations and workshops worldwide or advises customers as a SEACAM sales partner in the ESCAPEINC showroom. Imran’s work can be found in well-known magazines and publications from all over the world.
In challenging situations and on unusual assignments, flexible and adaptable equipment is the most important factor. Exciting pictures and professional work can only be achieved with the right tools.
