Fine Art meets
conservation.

Lorenzo Mittiga has been taking photographs underwater since he was 15, and has worked full-time as an underwater photographer and documentary filmmaker for film and television since 1996. The more he engaged with the ocean as a habitat, the stronger his awareness and commitment to marine and nature conservation became. He is an Associate Fellow of the International League Conservation Photographers and believes that photography is a powerful tool for science and conservation, capable of raising awareness and respect for nature among viewers.

The next adventure
awaits.

Lorenzo particularly enjoys showcasing special habitats like large coral reefs, mangroves, and the Antarctic, and uses his work to advocate for the preservation of these unique ecosystems. He is currently working on several coral restoration projects, documenting their progress and results. His photos and films have won international awards, have been published, and are featured in various major media outlets – an important step toward increasing awareness toward the sensitive marine ecosystem.

Thanks to the simple and intuitive operation of my entire housing system, I can fully concentrate on my work — even in very challenging situations, cold waters, or during scientific expeditions.

More about

Lorenzo
Mittiga.

As a marine biologist, nature photographer, and documentary filmmaker, Lorenzo uses his work to tell visual stories. Based out of his home in Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean, he specializes in documenting conservation projects both underwater and on land. His award-winning images and films are regularly published in international media and shown worldwide. When he’s not packing for his next expedition, the Italian native shares his expertise in workshops on underwater photography, film, and marine and nature conservation.
