“24 Hours Beneath the Rainbow Sea” was one of his first expeditions to the Maldives and as project leader of the Elysium Epic Expeditions, the world’s most influential photographers and scientists documented the biodiversity and climate change in the Antarctic and Arctic. His Ocean Geographic Society recently led him into the heart of the Coral Triangle and his exciting adventures can now be followed in 38 books.

Michael Aw lives and works in Sydney as a wildlife photographer, author and expedition leader. In addition to the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” and more than 65 international photo awards, he was recognized as one of the most influential nature photographers in the world. As a member of the Explorer Club NY and International League of Conservation Photographers, his essays and images have been featured in publications such as BBC Wildlife, GEO, National Geographic and The Times. Between work, he enjoys being underwater, exploring the depths of the Arctic as well as tropical waters.
